Without a major city or central point, the area of Englewood and Port Charlotte has often been difficult to describe to potential holidaymakers. Our rental homes are actually located in an unique golfing community called Rotunda.

From a bird's eye view, Rotunda is a virtually perfect circle divided by it's supporting infrastructure into eight equal parts. Our Rotunda rental homes are spread around seven of these 'segments' while the eighth is a nature reserve providing habitat for the regions wilder occupants. Lakes and canals are scattered throughout the area whilst several golf courses and retail developments have created a superb balance between modern living and the natural Floridian landscape. This large residential area is immaculately maintained and extremely peaceful and relaxing.

Our villas in the Englewood/Port Charlotte area provide a perfect choice for those looking to head south from Orlando, want the beaches and a complete contrast from the non stop action and noise of the Disney and Universal theme parks. This is a quiet area, without the tourist attractions found in Sarasota. However, there are two or three reasonably sized shopping malls and most of the familiar restaurant chains (Olive Garden, TGI Friday, Outback, Burger King & MacDonald's) can be found around 15 minutes from the Rotunda homes in central Port Charlotte. Without doubt though, the two biggest draws to the area are the mile after mile of gorgeous, white sandy coastline and the seemingly endless choice of quality golf courses. There are four main beaches within a twenty minute drive and one smaller, intimate beach less than a ten minute drive from our rental properties. In fact, discounting the beachfront properties on Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key, the homes at Port Charlotte are actually closer to the beach than any of our Gulf Coast villas. The most popular beaches are Manasota Beach and Venice Beach. Manasota boasts an incredible 14 acres of undulating sand, a winding boardwalk and several picnic areas and BBQ pits. Venice Beach draws the shell hunters, both casual and avid collectors, with it's wide variety of fossils and shells.

Another major attraction of this area is diving, Florida has long been the diving capital of the USA, scuba diving and snorkelling in the springs and rivers is possible year round and has been bringing visitors to the area for some time.

From Port Charlotte, Sarasota is about an hour drive north, Fort Myers and Sanibel Island are just under one hour south. Further afield is Naples, Marco Island and the Florida Everglades which are around 90 minutes drive from Port Charlotte. Orlando is a 3 hour drive.

Silver Category Homes

These modern, single storey 3 and 4 Bedroom vacation homes set around the immaculate Rotunda golf community offer a wonderful opportunity to relax. All villas are maintained and furnished to a very high standard, in fact these homes should really be classified somewhere in between our Silver and Gold rating as in most areas they slightly exceed the requirements for a Silver standard property.

Guests can expect clean, comfortable accommodation based around an open plan design with high ceilings, bright Floridian style decor and modern appliances.

The main living space is generally one large open area combining both a lounge with sofas and TV, a dining area and a generous sized, fully equipped kitchen. Leading off from the living area will be the master bedroom with oversized ensuite bathroom and two or three further bedrooms which share a family bathroom. As it's the long sunny days that attraction the majority of guests to Florida's Gulf Coast, the main focal point of these wonderful homes is always the private swimming pool. There are sun loungers and patio furniture and all pools are screened with a high mesh cage which allows sunlight through but helps to keep leafs and bugs out of the water.

Gold Category Homes

Our Gold rated Rotunda homes are large, modern executive properties on good sized with expansive gardens and, in the majority of cases, backing onto conservation or water. The homes are impressive detached residences in very friendly, relaxed Rotunda golfing community, these 3 Bedroom homes are very open and spacious with a variety of imaginative floor plans and all with upgraded furnishings and immaculately manicured lawns and gardens.

Expect to find a luxurious level of accommodation based around an open plan design with high ceilings, bright, contemporary style decor and modern appliances. A great level of attention and expense has been given to the furnishings, furniture, appliances, pictures and ornaments creating a very welcoming, relaxed environment.

The main living space is generally one large open area combining both a lounge with sofas, TV and VCR or DVD Player, a dining area and a generous sized, fully equipped kitchen. Leading off from the main living area will be the master bedroom with TV and oversized ensuite bathroom and two or three further bedrooms which share at least one and normally two family bathrooms.

Our collection of designer homes in and around the Rotunda golf community offer an extra level of elegance and finesse above what is found in the majority of the rental properties in this area. All villas are still individually owned but rather than the homeowner taking care of the furnishings and decor these properties have all benefited from the full attention of a highly skilled interior designer. On entering the home you will instantly see why these villas have been set aside for special attention.
