Fly from the UK to Halifax the bustling provincial capital of Nova Scotia ready to start exploring. Halifax is known as the city with more pubs than any other city in Canada. Take a walk along the Halifax Waterfront boardwalk or have a stroll through the beautiful Victorian gardens at Halifax Public Gardens. You can experience the city by bicycle where you can take in all the sights and buildings that Halifax has to offer in a short amount of time.
Day 2: Halifax – Annapolis Royal
Depart Halifax and drive the Lighthouse Route to Annapolis Royal, visiting picturesque Peggy’s Cove, a small, picturesque fishing community. Peggy Cove is a vibrant village and is home to some of Nova Scotia’s 160 historic lighthouses. Today Peggy’s Point Lighthouse keeps watch over the ocean waves and the working lobster boats. You will also get the opportunity to visit Lunenburg en route.
Day 3: Annapolis Royal – Fundy Coastal Drive – St. Andrews
Board the ferry to Saint John, the largest city in New Brunswick. St John has several interesting attractions to visit such as the historical lighthouse. You can learn about the history and importance of Signal Hill and the harbour in the Visitor Centre, and explore the ruins of Queens Battery , built in the 1700’s. Continue west along the dramatic Fundy Coastal Drive to one of Canada’s most beautiful seaside resorts, St Andrew’s.
Day 4: Campobello Island,
A beautiful island off the Coast of Maine. Embark on a sightseeing tour through the Deer Island Archipelago to Campobello Island, with included afternoon tea.
Day 5: St. Andrews – Fredericton
Take the scenic route to Fredericton, New Brunswick’s picturesque capital city noted for its heritage and culture.
Day 6: Fredericton – Hopewell Cape
Depart Fredericton and take a leisurely drive to the scenic Bay of Fundy and continue onto Hopewell Cape.
Day 7: Hopewell Cape – Wolfville
En route to the charming university town of Wolfville, stop at Hopewell Rocks – home to the highest tides in the world — up to 46ft!
Days 8 & 9: Wolfville – Baddeck / Cabot Trail
Follow the Sunrise Trail to Baddeck. The following day drive the Cabot Trail through stunning mountain and coastal landscapes. Discover the French Acadian community of Cheticamp and the rocky splendour of Cape Breton’s northern shore.
Days 10 & 11: Baddeck – Halifax
Drive back to Halifax via Pictou, the birthplace of New Scotland. Your tour concludes the following day.
